Mike Barnicle with Eugene Robinson on the U.S. nuclear deal with Iran

The Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson and Mike Barnicle discuss the international pressures, particularly from Russia and China, that led to the U.S. forging a nuclear deal with Iran this week. “One element of this deal seems to really portray, in full, President Barack Obama’s nature. The President knew—and Secretary of State John Kerry knew—that they could no longer hold the sanctions together, so they opted for containment. Their theory clearly is: It’s better to negotiate with Iran than bomb Iran,” says Mike of the new deal. Watch their conversation on MSNBC’s Morning Joe here.
